Trinity Family Life Center
Alexandra James is the Chief Executive Officer for Trinity Family Life Center. Trinity Baptist Church established Trinity Village Center a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization which operates Trinity Family Life Center. TFLC opened its doors in 2009 to serve as a hub for serving the needs of the greater community. The center includes a fitness center, child development center, senior center, gymnasium, and stage. TFLC’s “Strengthening Families Uplifting Communities Initiative” is a national pilot for Casey Family Programs’ faith based initiative—a part of their 20/20 Strategy. This pilot included the development of Positive Paths, a center for youth aging out of foster care and foster care alumni.
Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Family Life Center, Alexandra worked for the Fairfax County Government, Department of Neighborhood and Community Services. During her tenure with Fairfax County, she served as Regional Coordinator, where she provided staff development and implementation, partnership development, community capacity building, and facility management for community centers, teen centers, neighborhood centers and senior centers in regions 1 and 2. Her areas of expertise included: scope of work development, fiscal management, program development and implementation, partnership development, community capacity building, staff development and facility management.
Alexandra is a product of the City of Richmond Public Schools, and Howard University. She is currently seeking her Master’s of Divinity from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University. Alexandra is a poet, Hip Hop artist, and painter. She expresses her love of social justice and spirituality through her artistic expression.
