Tarcisio Ornelas Gomez was born in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico a few years ago… came to the United States in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and many ideas and intentions of assisting people. Once exposed to the reality of many families (both in Mexico and in the United States) especially in poor areas, the focus changed to working with for parents which he has been doing for the last 27 years. Luckily, about three years ago he  came to know Strengthening Families Illinois, there he learned of a movement that believed in parents and systems working together for the prevention of child abuse and child neglect but foremost in the strengthening of families and the betterment of child welfare by building protective factors and letting parents’ leadership be an important factor in decision making – at all levels – on the development of children.

Now, a trainer on different Be Strong Families trainings and an avid parent and eager to share with other parents what he has learned that has helped him and his family be a stronger family, Tarcisio is very excited to be part of Be Strong Families team and is completely dedicated to continue assisting parents to learn and be aware of their energy and leadership and how this has an impact on their lives, their children, their community and social policies.
