Brenda Griffin Kinsler

Senior Training and Technical Assistance Consultant

Brenda Kinsler is a Senior Consultant at Be Strong Families. Kinsler has been a social worker for 32 years and employed at the Philadelphia Department of Human Services for 28. During her first 15 years with the agency, she served in the Intake Division before moving to the Alternative Planned Living Arrangement (APLA) unit, Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and then the Parent Action Network (PAN). In 2011, she was appointed administrator of the Family and Youth Engagement Center, where she managed the Achieving Reunification Center, Achieving Independence Center, Parent Action Network, Housing and the integration of the Strengthening Families framework into the Improving Outcomes for Children (IOC) initiative. Kinsler then served as Director of the Family Team Conference under the IOC initiative.

Kinsler has been a mentor with the DHS Girls Track program since 2009 and helped develop the Boys Track program for boys 13–18. She is a board member of Daddy University, an organization that advocates for fathers’ rights. Kinsler is a graduate of Temple University School of Social Work with a minor in sociology. She is married and has two children.
