Tarcisio Ornelas, a native of Mexico, has been engaged in community issues since the age of 16, working in Chicago since 1988.  Tarcisio has a passion for working with and for parents and families in the community and in the accompaniment of people to bring out the best of their leadership.   Being a co-founders of Be Strong Families, Tarcisio has assisted in developing BSF trainings and trained nationally on Parent Cafés and most BSF trainings that educate parents and providers on the Strengthening Families™ Protective Factors and strategies for building them on a trauma informed-strength based approach  In the last four years, he has been actively supporting the provision of services to child welfare involved families.  His skills as bilingual trainer and work in father involvement/engagement have made him a passionate advocate for the cause of families in need and he is there to assist in any opportunity there is and in any way he can… 

Tarcisio’s holds a BA in Philosophy and a M. Div (Master’s Degree in Divinity) from Catholic Theological Union.
