Youth Engagement Worker
I am a mother of four adult children and Nana to 2 who I love dearly. I got married a year ago to my best friend and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My faith is really important to me. I got into working with parents and youth because I saw what was not available when my kids were younger. I became an Educator and worked with advocacy groups to advocate for the voiceless. I did a lot of work with Great Start Parent Collaborative. I am one of five siblings who are spread out through the states. Working with youth is a passion I have and proud to do it through this platform. I worked with the underserved population in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I was a preschool teacher and advocate for different advocacy groups to help parents and children. I came to Be Strong Families in June 2024 first as a T&TA consultant which I still am and then joined the Youth Engagement Worker side and truly enjoy making an impact with the youth.
“Family isn't always blood, it's the people in your life who want you in theirs: the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what. “
