Organizational Advancement Manager
Nadia Washington was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Howard University with a degree in psychology. She started her career in 2002 teaching at Johnson Jr. High School where she had a heart to better serve the children in the community. She then joined the team of Case Managers at My Sister's House, in partnership with the Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative. She was promoted to Program Manager at the New Urban Families House of Hope over the Family to Family Mentoring Program. She left there and joined Greatschools DC where she worked as Program Manager. She relocated to Philadelphia and became the Director of Community Engagement of the social services part of Greater Saint Mathew Baptist Church. After the loss of their grant, she began working again as a Case Manager for Northeast Treatment Centers where she advanced her career and joined the NET Community Care team as the Strengthening families Coordinator. She became a strong advocate to the development of staff and strengthening families in the community. She has been training staff and strengthening families since falling in love with the Parent Cafés. She was promoted to the Director of Community Engagement of NET Community Care.
In September, Nadia moved home to Washington, D.C. and joined Be Strong Families full-time as Organizational Advancement Manager & Senior Trainer.
