Robyn Harvey joined Be Strong Families in 2012 and currently serves as its Western Region Program Manager. Before Be Strong Families, Robyn was a consultant for Strengthening Families Illinois Project (2008 – 2012). During this time, she served the foster parent population and enjoyed hosting Parent Cafés and assisting the team designing family-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed workshops. Before that, Robyn worked as a Foster Parent Support Specialist for the Department of Children and Family Services in Illinois. She was appointed to the Statewide Foster Care Advisory Council where she led the council as chair for 2 years. Robyn is a certified Master Trainer for the PRIDE program. In 2016, Robyn was chosen as one of fifty super advocates to represent caregivers across the nation on Capitol Hill through Family First Program. Robyn and her husband were honored to be named Illinois Foster Parents of the Year in 2004.
Robyn lives in Northern Illinois with her husband, Rob, 9 sons, and 1 daughter. In their 22 years of fostering, their house has been home to numerous children.
