Veronica Buenrostro is a seasoned nonprofit finance leader with over 20 years of experience strengthening organizations through fiscal stewardship, operational efficiency, and transparent financial management. She brings a proven record of aligning financial strategy with mission-driven goals, ensuring compliance, and building trust across leadership teams, boards, funders, and communities.
Before joining Be Strong Families, Veronica served as Controller and Fiscal & Grants Director at the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, where she led audits, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and oversaw federal, state, and foundation grants. She has also held senior finance roles at Manufacturing Renaissance and Mujeres Latinas en Acción, where she enhanced financial systems, supported boards and executive leadership, and managed staff to drive operational excellence.
In her new role at Be Strong Families, Veronica oversees finance and administration with a focus on transparency, accountability, and efficiency. She is dedicated to ensuring the organization’s financial health while empowering staff and programs to thrive in service of families and communities nationwide.
