Good Community News!

Today we received an encouraging email from our Board Member Sandy Baba, PhD:

Dear fellow BSF board members,

Just wanted to share that at today's Office of Head Start webinar, Supporting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Families: The Head Start Program Perspective, Dr. Jerry Yang at Kai Ming Head Start Program highlighted the use of Parent Cafés at his program as a strategy to support the AAPI community. I was a participant at this webinar along with other 200 practitioners from the different Head Start regions and it was great to hear that Parent Cafés continue to be a resource for the different communities including the AAPI ones.

Best,

Sandy Baba

Dr. Baba is an education researcher and community advocate in the San Francisco Bay Area and a co-founder of the National Association for the Education of Young Children's Asian Interest Forum.
